Happy baby is a supported floor stretch for the inner hips and lower back. The back stays heavy on the floor while the knees move gently toward the sides of the ribs; holding behind the thighs is completely valid. Use it after training at a gentle intensity, breathe slowly, and stop if the position causes sharp pain, tingling, or numbness.
Quick answer
Happy Baby is best used when the workout goal matches its main demand: warm-up & mobility capacity, clean mechanics, and scalable intensity.
