The forward fold hang is a relaxed standing fold used to unload the neck and create mild tension through the back of the legs. Keep the knees bent enough that the torso can hang without pulling aggressively on the lower back. Use it after training at a gentle intensity, breathe slowly, and stop if the position causes sharp pain, tingling, or numbness.
Quick answer
Forward Fold Hang is best used when the workout goal matches its main demand: warm-up & mobility capacity, clean mechanics, and scalable intensity.
